The manual, in six pages.
HailBrowser is a Chrome extension, a side panel agent, and a local MCP server. These pages cover all three without assuming you have read the source. Start with install if you want it running in two minutes; start with the MCP reference if you only care about what your agent can call.
Install
Clone, load the folder, add a key, verify it works.
Connect an agent
Claude Code, OpenCode, Cursor, Codex, Claude Desktop, Gemini CLI.
MCP reference
All twenty tools, parameters, return shapes and failures.
Modes
Chat, Fast, Research and Tasks: what each one does and costs.
Security
Keys, loopback, the trust file and what agents will not do.
Limits
What version 0.1.0 cannot do yet, without hedging.
The sixty-second version
Clone it, load it, key it, connect it.
The extension has no build step and no npm dependencies. The MCP server is a Node process your client starts; the extension dials into it. Nothing is installed system-wide.
Full requirements, verification and troubleshooting: install guide
git clone https://github.com/Shyamnath-Sankar/project-hailbrowser.git
cd project-hailbrowser
npm install chrome://extensions → Developer mode → Load unpacked → extension/ npm run setup Reading this on a phone?
The install itself needs a desktop Chromium browser. The docs, the tool reference and the use cases read fine anywhere.
